Why do you supply me with a conventional glucose meter and test strips?

You may wish to calibrate the device with a fingerprick test strip using this glucose meter first thing each morning before breakfast, you can then input your fasting blood glucose reading into the MSGlucose app on your smart phone.

This then matches up your capillary blood glucose to the reading on your smart phone to support greater accuracy.

How many times should I wear the sensor each month?

Expert opinion has established (the Advanced Technologies and Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) Congress February 2019) 1 that the management of Type 2 Diabetes by reference to the HbA1c test (the Doctor’s universally acknowledged blood test to determine average blood glucose levels over a 120 day continuous period), can be improved with just 3 consecutive days a month of continuous glucose monitoring.

The conclusion of the congress panel was based on the results of just 3 days study, comprising 7 fingerprick tests performed daily. So a total of 21 fingerprick tests over that period.

The MySugarWatch® device will provide between 500-600 blood glucose readings over 3 consecutive days.
